Anchor Bay Entertainment has picked up some distribution rights for two separate genre films. First is Walled In, which is the Mischa Barton starring film based off of a French novel (Les Emmures) and directed by the Frenchman Gilles Paquet-Brenner. The story for that one is about a building being demolished, but then it is discovered that a murderer was keeping people in the walls. Deborah Unger and Cameron Bight are also on the cast.
Also, Anchor Bay has rights involving a movie based off of a Jack Ketchum novel entitled: The Lost. Jack Ketchum’s work was sent straight to DVD not to long ago with the hard to watch torture film The Girl Next Door, but this time some limited theatrical dates are said to be coming into play with director Chris “I Know Who Killed Me” Siverston perhaps trying to get a project out there to counter balance all the Razzie nominations. The Lost follows the exploits of a suburban serial killer and stars: Marc Senter, Michael Bowen, Dee-Wallace Stone, Ed Lauter, Megan Henning, and Erin Brown. - Wes Laurie |
