The LA Times recently interviewed CLOVERFIELD director Matt Reeves on what made him want to tackle LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, the swedish vampire tale that won audiences over last year.
"I was just hooked," Reeves told the LA Times. "I was so taken with the story and I had a very personal reaction. It reminded me a lot of my childhood, with the metaphor that the hard times of your pre-adolescent, early adolescent moment, that painful experience is a horror." Reeves also said that he has finished a second draft of the script, which is now simply titled LET ME IN. LET ME IN will be set in Reagan-era Colorado and Reeves vows that the leads will not be aged-up to make the film more like a Twilight-style teenage romance. - Heather Wixson |
