Comic publishers Studio 407 have an exclusive first-look deal with Myriad Pictures, a film production company. As part of their deal Myriad has announced their first chosen project which has the title: “Hybrid.”
The plot follows vacationing college students stalked by a mutant creature from the deep. The monster, who emerged from polluted waters, gets his revenge on humans by 'fishing' for them in the sea. The comic is by Peter Kwong who will adapt the screenplay; the book version isn’t set for release until June. Currently, filming is set to begin sometime in mid-2008 with locations in Thailand.
