Philippine director Yam Laranas has been working on an English remake of his film “Sigsaw”, or known in English as: “The Echo.” News is, however, that filming is completed and the project is being moved to post-production status; that’s right, just some snipping, cutting, and random perversity before the film is ready for our horror hungry eyes.

The Echo is about an ex-con who moves into an old apartment building, where he encounters a domestic problem involving a police officer, his wife, and their daughter. When he tries to intervene, however, a mysterious curse entraps him.

The film stars Jesses Bradford, Kevin Durand, and Amelia Warner and is coming from the same production company that brought us The Ring and The Grudge. In title retrospect it seems befitting that the Asian remake of a film entitled The Echo would be brought to us by Vertigo Entertainment.
