What the hell is a Krampus? A group of filmmakers are hoping it will be hellishly entertaining for you. Apparently the Krampus is an Austrian creature of about 7 feet tall that is a scary looking goatman with cloven hooves. This creature does his dirty work in the black forest, eating people and flicking his foot long forked tongue out and about.

A film entitled Krampus is being directed by Christian Cisneros and seeks to bring this Austrian legend to life with a cast that has now been completed. The acting lineup is as follows:

Barbara Nedeljakova has the lead of Maddie Watkins within the film, a woman with smoldering good looks she has been seen inkrampus1_799405 the films: Hostel and also Doom.

Jonathan Breck will play Charles Watkins, Breck is known for being the Creeper creature from the Jeepers Creepers movies.

Camden Toy is set to take on the role of the Krampus, previously you may have seen him in creature form via the Ubervamp on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer television show.

Hunter Gomez and Ashley Gomez have been cast as the Watkins kids, They are real life siblings with Hunter havng done some voice work on Family Guy as well as playing young Ben Gates in National Treasure. Ashley does some singing along with acting in films such as the western Redemption.

Eileen Dietz is also on the Krampus cast having previously been seen as “Pazuzu's Face” in The Exorcist as well as being in the films: Exorcism, Neighborhood Watch, and Creepshow 3.

Charles Cyphers also has a role in Krampus, Cyphers was the Sheriff in John Carpentar’s Halloween, also having roles in The Fog and the upcoming film Methodic (check interview section)

Also cast are Joe Barbarisi, Chuck Lamb, Krisondra Daigneault, Elizabeth Henry, Judyth Piazza, Hillary Joines, Dion Ortega, Jr., Micheal Placencia, Eliezer Castro, and Lee Vervoort.

Shooting looks to begin in 2008 with the Myspace page giving us this insight:
