Came across a news story with people wondering what ever happened to Nike and their horror themed shoe line. Not much to report really other than Nike designed a shoe line based on popular horror movies and they never came out, though they were due in October. Word has it that in North america they ran into some legal issues, hopefully those can be cleared up at some point or another and these things get mass marketed. Searches on the internet can land you many pictures of the proposed shoe line and if you have moolah to spend you might be able to actually snag a pair.
The themes of the shoes featured not only shoes, but matching shirts involving: A Nightmare On Elm Street, The Exorcist, Friday the 13th, and Dawn of the Dead. The Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street kicks are the neatest looking ones in my opinion, which by just looking at the shoe you can tell what movie they honor. The other two shoe designs are merely color coordinated with film artwork and such; no blood splatters or wordage. - Wes Laurie |
