The production company and distributor Paramount has announced its films will be released exclusively on the HD-DVD format now, as opposed to Blu-Ray. Blu-Ray format currently gets exclusives from Fox, Sony, and Disney and now HD-DVD is Universal and Paramount, with Warner Brothers supporting both formats. Paramount pictures also includes the companies Dreamworks, MTV Films, Nickelodeon Movies, anything to do with Viacom, and they also distribute movies that deal with Marvel. Not only does this mean that Indiana Jones and Star Trek fans will have to buy HD-DVD to view their favorites, but here is a short list of film examples from the horror genre involved with Paramount.
