Robert Englund has his next directorial project lined up, though I think it would be hilarious for him to just go ahead and start directing movies dressed in full Freddy Kruger character. The movie that the horror icon is now attached to helm is entitled: The Vij.
The movie is based off of a novel and centers around an evil genie who conditions the actions of a young priest, leading him to commit murder and fall in love with an old witch who is actually not what she seems. Casting is still under way, however Robert Englund himself will take on a role as will Christopher “Count Dooku” Lee and actress Olga Schuvalova. Englund’s other directorial projects have been: 976-EVIL and Killer Pad, as well as some television episodes of Freddy’s Nightmares. - Wes Laurie |
