The Knights Templar is the name of a horror action script that has been bought by Universal Pictures. The script was written by Adam Torchia and Justin Stanley and features a plot about Templar Knights facing off against vampires who wish to get their hands on the Holy Grail to destroy it.
Marc Platt and Timur Bekmambetov are producing the movie with Platt previously producing The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising and Bekmambetov being the director for the Day Watch and Night Watch films as well as the upcoming Angelina Jolie movie Wanted. In another odd twist to the process of this script getting made into a movie, originally it was being written, along with Justin Stanley, by Ian Mansfield Rothkerch. However, the latter died before it was completed and Stanley then teamed up with Torchia, who sold his script Strange Magic to Alcon Entertainment last year. - Wes Laurie |
