The movie rights for INVITATION ONLY were picked up by Filmax; making it the first Asian acquisition for the company. Invitation Only was produced by the Taiwanese company Three Dots Ent., which will retain distribution rights in Asia, Germany, Poland, and Spain. Which leaves all other international distribution in the hands of Filmax. I find it kind of funny though that Filmax doesn’t hold the rights for Spain, when Filmax itself is a Spanish company.
The movie was directed by Kevin Ko, his first, and shot in both Mandarin and the English language. The story follows a group of people invited to an upscale party only to find that it is an invitation to a night of torture and murder. Currently it is in post-production.
