Variety reported this week that WB acquired the big-screen rights to the TV series "Primeval" which generally airs on BBC America or the Sci Fi Channel.
According to Variety, the WB will be giving PRIMEVAL the movie a bit of an overhaul in terms of hyping up the action. AKiva Goldsman and Kerry Foster will be producing through the Weed Road WB-based banner. "There is a solid mythology to the series, but the movie has the dinosaur element of JURASSIC PARK and the time travel element of ‘Lost,’ and it just feels like the kind of big movie that Warner Bros. does well," Foster said. No director, writer or cast is attached to the project yet. - Heather Wixson |
