Here’s the 411 on two film projects that have been announced and are filming: Wicked Lake and  Carver."Wicked Lake" is being churned out by Fever Dreams production company, who first tore onto the horror scene with: Flesh For the Beast; which has a sequel in the works. Wicked Lake is being directed by Zach Passero and centers around a group of friends who head out to a lake only to find themselves being hunted by two separate groups of predatory men. Also on the film news front, comes word from director Franklin Guerrero to Fangoria that his new film “Carver” is going well for Two For Flinching Productions. Plot-wise it appears we’re going to have another entry into the snuff film based horror genre, with the story centering around a group of friends watching a movie in an old house and realizing it is a real depiction of murder and that they are about to become the next victims. “This is the kind of movie people are really going to respond to,” claims Guerrero, though right now the coolest sounding thing about it is the tagline: “Life Imitating Art, Art Imitating Death.” Guess we’ll just have to wait and see. - Wes Laurie |
